Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

WHO CAN LEARN REIKI?

Reiki is available to everyone, regardless of physical ability and religious status. Reiki has no religious dogmas associated with it so it can be practiced by people of all faiths.

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BETWEEN REIKI TRAININGS?

We typically teach Reiki 1 & 2 together but we recommend to listen to your guidance to determine if you wish to wait between classes. We ask that before you take Level 3 that you take 3 months to adjust to the energy and spend some time practicing on yourself or others. We ask that before you take Reiki Master that you wait 6 months and spend time practicing.

CAN I TAKE YOUR KARUNA REIKI TRAINING?

Karuna Reiki is available to all Reiki Masters. You do not have to have taken your Reiki master training from us, as long as you did not take your training through a self-paced online class. After receiving your Reiki Master training, we ask that you take 6 months to adjust to the energy and spend some time practicing on yourself or others.

CAN I TEACH REIKI?

After you receive your Reiki Master training you are welcome to teach your own Reiki classes. If you feel you need additional support, you can enroll in our Reiki Master Teaching Program where we provide you with the resources, confidence and our Sacred Awakenings Reiki manuals to teach from.

WHO CAN I PRACTICE REIKI ON?

Reiki is safe for all living beings as it is the Universal energy that flows though all of us. Reiki is save for all people including babies, pregnant mothers, animals and plants.
